Q: How much can I burn on 1 CD?
A: Usually up to 650 MB/74 Min or 700 MB/80 Min depending on the particular type of CD-R/CD-RW.

Q: I have 16x10x40 CD Writer but it only allows me to record CD-Rs at 10x speed. Why?
A: Some new types of CDRs that support recording speeds up to 52x aren't fully compatible with old CD Writers with the "high speed" mark and fully support only those with the "ultra speed" sign.

Q: I've heard that it was possible to burn 90min CD-Rs. How can I do that?
A: Your CD Writer should support this type of CDR and must have the overburning feature.

Q: How many times can I write on a CD-RW disk before it becomes useless?
A: We cannot give you the specific number since it depends on many things like: manufacturer of the CD-RW, max and min allowable writable speeds, how old the disk is, etc. The number may vary from 100 to 1000 times.

Q: I have problems playing recorded VideoDVDs, why?
A: Please make sure you have authored the movie file first, prior burning. Any third party software designed especially for authoring video files will do the work. Once the authoring process is finished, you should have VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders on your hard drive. Now you need to start DeepBurner Pro and select the Create VideoDVD project type. You'll be asked to select a folder containing both VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. After that just press the Burn button.

Q: How many songs can be recorded on an AudioCD?
A: As many songs as would fit into CD-R/CD-RW capacity, which is usually limited to 74 or 80 mins.

Q: Does DeepBurner create intermediate, temporary WAV files when burning audio CDs from MP3 files?
A: Yes, DeepBurner creates temporary wav files if you make AudioCDs from mp3/wmf/ogg file types. These temporary files are automatically deleted upon exiting DeepBurner.

Q: Your program is unable to find my CD/DVD burner!
A: Try to uncheck the ASPI driver box under Recorder->Settings before initializing the drive.

Q: How do I finalize a disc?
A: DeepBurner does not support this yet. However, the disk is finalizaed automatically if you're burning in no-multisession mode.

Q: How can I remove the 2 sec - pause between the audio tracks?
A: Try using the Disc-at-Once burning method..

Q: I want to make my own translation for DeepBurner. How do I do that?
A: The initial English language file is located in the program's directory (C:\Program Files\Astonsoft\DeepBurner by default settings). You should open the file and edit it in your favorite text editor. When you're finished with the translation, please forward it to us at .

Q: I can't see the Explorer window from where to select files for burning. What should I do?
A: You should click on the "Launch new Browser Window" icon located at the upper toolbar (yellow folder).

Q: I bought a DVD movie and DeepBurner Pro doesn't seem to copy it to a new DVD+R correctly. Why is that?
A: Most likely the original DVD is copy protected and DeepBurner doesn't decrypt copyright protection mechanisms (CSS) as it violates the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (http://www.arl.org/info/frn/copy/dmca.html)

A: Solution here is the reg-key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon if you set there the value 1 into allocatecdroms then all users have enough rights to burn CDs.
